// Founder's note
Division 8 Command wasn't designed in a demo lab or a VC-backed incubator. It started at a working estimating desk — straight into the deep end, four days of basics, my trainer on vacation, and an overwhelmed shop just trying to keep up.
What I actually learned: the tools were complicated, the grind ate the hours, and the knowledge that mattered lived in people's heads, not systems — the transfer of that knowledge was losing the war. I watched an 83-year-old veteran buried under tools that forgot a real person sits in the seat that matters most.
This is the tool I wish I'd had back then — less time crunching input against the deadline, more time learning the right calls from the people who carry them. There had to be a better, faster tool. I couldn't find one. So I built it.
